Directors

Alan and Jan

Alan and Jan Kilpatrick joined the Iris Global UK board in 2020. Alan and Jan have been leading Anglican churches for over 21 years in various parts of the world, such as South Africa and the USA. In 2017 the Lord called them to step out of the Anglican church and to give everything away. They ended up attending and staffing Iris Harvest School, and were asked to become Directors of Hospitality in Pemba, Mozambique. They came back to the UK in 2020, then joined the Iris Global Family Care team, and also lead Iris Global UK. Jan is a qualified therapist and Alan is studying for his PhD.  They have been married for 37 years, have four children, two sons-in-law and five grandchildren.

Andrew

Andrew Fanstone left his job as senior physiotherapist in England in 2001 to work with street children in Brazil.  He worked for 10 years with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), leading projects for the children in the streets and the slums of the city of Fortaleza. In 2012 he co founded Iris Fortaleza; a community of missionaries which desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the slums, streets and red light zones of the city. Andrew is now a leader of Iris Global Brasil and has a heart to awaken, train and send out the next generation of missionaries to the nations to finish the Great Commission. Andrew is married to Claudia and has three children. He is the author of the book 'God plus 1', which is available through the store pages on this website. Andrew joined the Iris Global UK Board in January 2024.

Felicity headshot

Felicity Hyde-Thompson’s life was totally transformed through a series of encounters with God during 2010-11 when He healed her broken heart, revealed himself to her as a Father, and gave her a heart for the broken and hurting. Since then she attended the Iris Global Harvest School in Mozambique and South Africa, in 2014. She has also visited the Iris Global base in Antananarivo, Madagascar and more recently the Zimpeto base in Maputo, Mozambique, for three months in 2022. Nearer home, she worked at Off The Fence Trust, a Christian charity supporting the homeless, vulnerable women and vulnerable children in Brighton & Hove, for four years, before moving to Eastbourne, where she lives now. Felicity joined the Board of Iris Global UK in January 2024.

Catherine

Catherine Brennan joined the Board of Iris Global UK in 2024. Originally from Cork, Ireland, she holds a degree in Culinary Arts and has spent much of her adult life pursuing a bi-vocational calling that combines professional work with Christian ministry and missions. After completing her studies, Catherine moved to Western Australia, where she worked in hospitality while serving in local church ministry and international missions. Following her return to Ireland, she attended the Iris Global Harvest School in Mozambique in 2018.
Catherine later relocated to Scotland, where she worked with refugee women through practical skills training and community support initiatives, while also serving alongside local church organisations reaching vulnerable and marginalised communities.
Catherine now lives in Paisley, Scotland, where she serves as a Young Adults Pastor in her local church. She continues to work bivocationally in the hospitality sector in Glasgow while serving on the Board of Iris Global UK. Her experience spans missions, discipleship, hospitality, refugee support, mentoring, and community outreach.

Pam Gaston

Pam Gaston joined the Board in 2025. A worshipper and intercessor at heart, she carries a deep passion for missions and the marginalised, having encountered Jesus’ relentless love when she felt most worthless and unseen. Deeply impacted by God’s presence, and Iris Global, Pam attended Harvest School in Mozambique and South Africa in 2014. Soon after, she left a career in financial services, following her Father’s call to the nations. After a season in the UK charity sector, Pam returned to Africa to serve on staff with Iris Harvest School over 2 years.
Seeing people encounter Jesus is one of her greatest joys. Pam has led outreach teams to many Iris Global locations, including Brazil, carrying the tangible presence and love of Jesus wherever He leads. She currently serves with Fields of Life, Northern Ireland, supporting children and communities in East Africa.
